In 2017, Syd Moen received an Individual Artist Grant from the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance. With the grant money, Moen designed and managed the creation of a public art sculpture titled The Bridge. The sculpture incorporates a 360° panorama image, reflective cone and an interactive “Love Lock” fence. The Bridge, invites viewers to collaborate with the work by placing “love locks” on the structure. This action acknowledges the concept that love is a bridge to tolerance and unity.
